The World's Most Urgent Mission
Aligning with PAQS 2023 mission on decarbonising the future, BCISM is joining hands with Universiti Malaya and CYPE Ingenieros in organising this event titled “Carbon Neutrality 2050 – Journey of Eco Conscious QS” on 27th September 2023 (Wednesday).
On this world’s most urgent mission, upskilling industry and academic stakeholders with eco-conscious knowledge, skills, culture and practices, is necessary and crucial more than ever. The goal of this event is to explore the role of Quantity Surveyors in the effort of achieving Malaysia’s mandate to become a carbon-neutral nation by 2050, in accordance to Paris Agreement.
We will dive deep into digital cost data and 5D BIM technologies that can help to achieve carbon neutrality in construction sector. This event includes mini workshops on utilising National Construction Cost Centre (N3C) by BCISM and Open BIM by CYPE. All attendees are recommended to bring their own laptop with Open BIM software installed. Last but not least, CYPE will also demonstrate VR construction technology and attendees will have the opportunity to have hands-on experience with the latest virtual reality technology in construction sector.
